SEARCH UP HYPERPHANTASIA OR ASK ME ABOUT IT.
Imagine having a "mind’s eye" that functions like a high-definition 4K projector, where you don’t just think of a memory, you essentially re-live it with photorealistic detail, vibrant colors, and even simulated smells or sounds. That’s hyperphantasia—an incredibly vivid imagination that makes creative work like painting or storytelling feel like tracing over a real-life reference and allows for a rich, immersive inner world. The upside is a superpower for memory and creativity, but the downside is that it can be exhausting; because the mental images are so intense, negative thoughts or scary movies can feel as "real" as actual trauma, and it’s very easy to get lost in a daydream and lose touch with the room you're actually sitting in. It’s a beautiful way to experience the world, but it often means living with an "off" switch that doesn't quite work, making it hard to escape vivid anxieties or intrusive thoughts. That's why I told @244533om to not show me horror.
