[SPOILERS] Unpopular opinion: Kris isn't evil and only acts this way due to unfortunate circumstances - Divorce - Loss of family friends - Loss of Dess(?) - Brother in college - Outcast (Only human in Hometown) - Works with Carol and/or the Roaring Knight(?) Other evidence: - Splashes water on their face after slashing their mom's tires in Ch. 2 ending (It looks like more than drying hands to me. Kris seems uncomfortable after doing that) - When you choose to talk to Susie instead of Ralsei, Kris always makes the answers lighthearted or funny (Ch. 3) - When Ralsei asks Should a darkner have feelings? and the player chooses "Of course not", Kris will fake yawn, making them say "Of course" only. Cuz that was mean. Of course Ralsei should feel even if he's just a darkner (Ch. 3 or 4. I forgot) - Bites hand when player almost makes them say "I'll never play again" to Susie after she's vulnerable enough to tell her story (Ch. 4) - Comforts Ralsei when he's having a breakdown (Ch. 4 ending) When the player chooses to say, "It's okay not to smile," Kris will hug Ralsei. Kris chose to hug Ralsei on their own! So you see, Kris HAS SOME CONTROL over what the player makes them do. So if something is too much, expect push back. The idea is to LOOK CLOSER because masking people have tells :D And if you want even more evidence that Kris isn't bad, then you gotta watch the uncomfortableness that is THE WEIRD ROUTE where Kris tries to protect Noelle from YOU I will never do weird route, guys. (Cares too much about fictional characters)
