April 26, 2026: What was supposed to be a normal Sunday drive for Carson Hocevar ended up being Dega Magic, taking home his very first Cup Series win. With an excellent celebration to follow that is, without questions asked, THE best win celebration that any NASCAR driver has ever done since 1949. I can't imagine how busy the Chili's close to Dega was followig this. This man is too tuff for any hatred whatsoever. It was deserved when he intentionally put out cautions and raced dirty during his Trucks career (pre-Cup) when he drove the Niece Motorsports #42, but became more loveable as he moved up to Cup, and on the days leading to and following April 26, he became a fan favorite like never before. It was the day a hurricane struck Talladega, Alabama, named "Hurricane Hocevar", produced a win and a great celebration instead of high winds.
