She has dreams and visions filled with StarClan cats, but she chooses to not listen to them, believing they do not care about the living Clans. Frustrated that the ThunderClan cats doesn't understand what she believes about StarClan, she try's to tell them that StarClan is just a hoax, a lie. On her last visit from StarClan, her sister, Snowfur appears, offering her guidance and peace from her worries, but Bluestar refuses, 'killing' her. StarClan is left in disbelief and horror at what Bluestar has done. This couldn't be possible, yet it is. Tigerclaw warns Bluestar of the pack of dogs that have wandered into the forest, giving her an idea to test StarClan's powers. She lures the dogs toward the ThunderClan camp, sending Brightpaw and Swiftpaw on a patrol to search for them. The two apprentices are soon attacked, while Bluestar watches from a nearby tree branch, now completely certain that StarClan does not care about the living.
