it's that time again. collect my pages. im going to preface this by saying i don't care about your syscourse stance. rouxls does not care about your syscourse stance ddont ev3n bring it up. what i'm about to say applies to ALL systems, as xeno-terms can be used by systems of any origin. - so! i've been seeing a lot of hate for systems who use xeno-origins, xenoroles, etc. I think that this comes from a place of misunderstanding, for the most part. i obviously cant speak for every system or every term, but typically xeno terms aren't meant to be taken literally. simply put, they're labels. as with literally any label, regardless of the definition, it's still just a word. you can call them useless all you like, or act like it's ridiculous, but in this case it's no different than something like a xenogender. it may not mean anything to anyone but the person using it, but that's fine. it's none of your business if someone uses a label that means nothing because it makes them happy. most xeno terms are not functional roles, they're just labels. nobody loses anything because timmy wanted to call his system minecraftbased because he likes the term. why is this even discourse it's such a non issue. realistically if you know these terms are more for vanity and not function but you still hate them, you just hate fun. you can think they're stupid, but keep it to yourself. people are allowed to use whatever the hell labels they want - --gtyhujm poorly organized rant here for all my loyal followers (nobod --ik i basically wrote the same thing over and over but honestly. that's like my biggest point why do you care --probably will come back and rewrite this later when i'm a bit more coherent but for now we ball
