-- Chapter 2 -- Dear Diary, it’s me again. I’ve just finished the first quarter of my freshman year, and not much has happened. I’ve become friends with a boy named Daniel Brocksey. He’s a popular kid in my grade, and he’s very athletic. There’s another kid I’m friends with too. His name is Adrian Rodger. We’ve been friends ever since third grade, which was years ago now. He’s been there for me through all my ups and downs, so it’s nice to still have him around, even in high school. I showed my mom what I wrote at the start of the school year. She was proud, though she wishes I would write more in this. Maybe one day I will, but for now, I’ve got other things to focus on. My older brother has been giving me more and more tips recently. Some of them are helpful. Others, not so much. I know he’s looking out for me, but I don’t think holding your breath when walking past the chemistry room is useful advice. Well, I have no idea what else to write as of now. As I said, nothing much has happened. However, it still feels nice to jot down my thoughts when I do end up writing to her. Perhaps my mom really is on to something when she says this will benefit me. As for now though, I still have a bit of homework to do, all of which is due tomorrow. I’ll write in here again soon.
@leonnite126678 (that's me!) for the story, the banner (made on Canva), and my ideas I guess @its_aves for hosting the writing contest!
