-- Chapter 9 -- Dear Diary, Junior year has officially begun! Honestly, I can’t believe I’m already writing that. It felt like just yesterday I was walking into High School for the first time. Now I know the hallways as if they were my home. I spent a lot of time with Daniel over the summer. We did a lot together. We went to the movies, went to a few resturants, went to each others houses a ton, I could go on. He’s been been a little protective of his phone lately. He says it’s more sports stuff. I guess I can’t blame him. If I were on a lot of sports teams I would probably need to check my phone a lot too. Maybe I can finally make the volleyball team this year. Adrian’s still around too of course. He went to my house a few times over the summer, though not nearly as much as Daniel. He’s been more quiet latley as well. I’m not really sure what’s going on, but I don’t want to push him for answers. I have a feeling that would just make things worse. I decided not to talk to my mom much over the summer. Instead, if I have a problem or need to ask for something, I go to my dad. My brother hasn’t had a lot of time to help me since his third year of college started. I’ve heard junior year is the hardest year in both high school and college, so it’s good to know I’m not alone. It’s only been a few days, but Junior year is seeming promising so far. I know things will get harder as the year goes on, but I think it’ll all be worth it in the end. I’ll write back in this diary soon. Bye Diary!
