"Technology (electronics) have hurt us in alot of ways" When I visited RadioShack six days ago, it wasn't the same as it was when smartphones were not around. But when smartphones were the new fad, RadioShack lost 75% of their sales due to smartphones, because you can install an app to whatever you need it to. Back then, you had to buy a GPS to know where the driver needed to go, a radio to listen to news and communicate on the road, a computer to store your info, look up stuff, program and play games on. When the internet came, there was an info explosion that shook everyone, you can surf the web and learn alot of new things. And now AI is the new tech and its hurting all of us along side Age and ID verification mandated for us before we can play and use the internet. this is the reason why i like older tech and why you see those vector art's of computer's and everything, they were simple, easy to use with a manual, play games on it, use it for music, CADing, everything, you knew your data was safe is because its on a tapes, floppy disks, custom built cartridges you built for your computer (if possible) and on hard drive. also repairing it, its easy, run a diagnostic program and it will tell you what chips are bad by showing an error message, and you had to know how to decode the message into knowing what went wrong. knowing me, im determined to get me one of those retro computers and play around with it.
