Questions by @duckbills Answered by: @Mai_Wildhunter Music is Ravio's Theme Thumbnail made with Canva Q1: Why did choose to do band? A: Both of my parents and a lot of my aunts were in band Q2: What instrument(s) do you play? A: Trumpet, euphonium, clarinet (learning) Q3: Craziest thing your band Director has done? A: Thrown a box at a kid, hitting him in the head, and accidentally calling the kid the wrong name while apologizing Q4: Is your band class big, small, or average? A: I mean, it's a covid-era class. I'd say average. It used to be way smaller. Q5: Do you wish you could play another instrument than what you have already played? A: I wish I could have played saxophone. I had wanted to play saxophone since I knew what one was. Q6: What section has the least amount of students? A: Clarinets or French horns. French horns has an average of 2 players per year (only one this year) and they're in symphonic band (I'm in concert band) Q7: How many years have you played your instrument? A: 8 I think (since 5th grade) Q8: What was your favorite piece of music you ever played? A: There's been a lot of good ones. I liked: Darklands March, Russian Christmas Music, Great Locomotive Chase, Voyage To The Edge of the World, and various Star Wars themes. If you are including Marching Band music, I'd say The Planets by Gustav Holst. Q9: Have you ever damaged your instrument? A: Many a time. Q10: How long do you practice your instrument? A: 40 minutes in class, 20 with a tutor Q11: What do you hate about your instrument? A: Trumpets are stereotyped as the worst people in band, when actually we are genuinely the most chill and AREN'T IN ANY DRAMA AT ALL unlike EVERYONE ELSE WHO HATES EACH OTHER FOR NO REASON also I don't like having to use a slide to play notes not flat, so I adjust with only my embouchure now for low d Q12: Are you beginning, intermediate, or advanced in your opinion? A: I am intermediate due to the fact that I: just learned how to play high, and have no sense of rhythm or pitch lol Q13: What section is the most annoying? A: Flutes. Always infighting. Q14: Worst part about being a band kid? A: You either have to sacrifice so much for band or just miss out. Q15: How often do you do performances/concerts? A: 4 times a year, and every week or so during marching/pep band season Q16: Have you ever messed up during a performance? A: who hasn't??? I didn't mess up in my one solo, though :) Q17: Has your band director ever called you out for making a mistake? A: Yes, only when I was the only 1st trumpet and I was being shy Q18: What section always mess up on their part? A: When we were doing full orchestra, the entire orchestra AND the freshman band. Otherwise, either the clarinets or percussion. Q19: Favorite scale? A: Normal (Bb) Q20: Last question! Does your band do any activities during class time? A: Sometimes my band director lets us watch his saved reels, but we also have riddles and random yapping times in class. BONUS: Did you enjoy this? Tell me what you think! A: yes I enjoyed this!!!
