There's not as much this time but I should be able to write some more soon :) {START} Wolf reached the cabin and gave three sharp knocks. Five seconds later, the door swung open to reveal Winter. “Yes? Oh, Wolf! What have you got for me this time?” Winter asked with a grin. “Hi, sir!” Wolf replied, returning the smile. “The Boss sent me to see if you had anything to report on your mission.” Winter paused. “Before I answer that—have you seen Fox?” “He’s just down the hall,” Wolf said, nodding toward the corridor. Winter leaned out, catching a glimpse of Fox near the far end. “Perfect. Do me a favor?” Winter checked his watch. “Ask Fox to meet me in the lobby in fifteen minutes. And tell the Boss we’ll both be there in about twenty.” “You got it!” Wolf waved as he took off. Winter offered a quick wave back before the door clicked shut. “Mr. Fox!” Wolf called out. Fox stopped and turned, waiting for the younger soldier to catch up. “Oh, it’s you again,” Fox said as Wolf reached him. “What’s up?” “Mr. Winter asked me to tell you to meet him in the lobby in fifteen minutes.” “Alright. Thanks,” Fox muttered. He turned and kept walking, with Wolf trailing cheerfully a few paces behind. They reached the elevator at the end of the hall. Wolf pressed the button for the first floor, the silence between them heavy enough to feel. "Where are you headed, sir?" Wolf asked, desperate to crack the tension. "The tailor," Fox replied. "I need a new uniform." Wolf raised an eyebrow. "What happened to the old one?" "Fire. Blades. Total destruction, honestly." "Wow," Wolf managed. "That’s... intense." "Tell me about it." Fox let out a dry chuckle. "I’m honestly surprised my pants survived the carnage." Wolf felt a small smile tug at his lips. He should laugh more, he thought, watching the way Fox’s expression softened. It suits him. But the moment was brief. Fox’s smile vanished as he turned his gaze toward Wolf. "Did Winter seem alright to you? I’m worried about him." "He seemed fine to me," Wolf said, though his voice lacked conviction. "I don’t know, though." The elevator chimed, the doors sliding open to the first floor. "Right..." Fox stepped out without another word, leaving Wolf alone in the metal box. "I hope they're both okay," Wolf murmured to the empty air as he turned back to the panel, heading toward the boss’s office.
