With the civil war stalled out and the Central Government no longer in the hands of the original governing figures that Ketz disliked, the temporary governing council in Cubertshaven have made a daring move. A move towards peace. Representatives from most military-administrated regions, emergency districts, and independent forces have all gathered with hundreds of security guards in the KPU-controlled city of Cresvce, an otherwise unimportant city between larger Blonckstein and Alßa, but currently the local KPU base and a refugee hotbed. The Blerpusdorf Provisional Presidency has suggested a highly decentralized confederation of most of the current extant states as a solution to the war and the political crisis, arguing that all Blerps could still cooperate while pursuing their own political agendas. With most splits being a result of political differences, and the war becoming a gridlocked mess that is now affecting civilian life, the proposed solution has gathered traction among many. In Cresvce, Provisional President Martin van Dak will lead peace talks between all the forces, hoping to find common ground and put an end to the conflict. However, many - including General Ketz and Kap-Governor Petel, two major figures in the talks - are skeptical if the talks will work, especially with the divides being so wide now. Tensions are also extremely high, especially with recent events like the razing of Drefenberg and Stakraine's Operation Thunderbird that rescued Hasse. Some believe these could lead to an escalation at the conference. Of course, only time will tell if any of this happens...
Pictured are the three most important leaders of the civil war at the conference. You already know Ketz (middle) and Petel (right), but van Dak is the one on the left. He was formerly the Governor of Cubertshaven, but he was shoved into the presidency by circumstance. His allegiance falls with the centrists and moderates. If the talks go through, he's likely to be Blerpusdorf's new leader. (uh if somebody meddles and tries to blow everyone up or something the war is going to escalate exponentially do so at your own risk)
