SCRATCHERS BEWARE, A group of hackers has created malware that we have dubbed 'the canvas' virus. The 'Canvas' virus lurks inside of projects of the infected, it tells you to 'see inside' and open the backdrop editor. DO NOT DO THIS, You will receive a message alerting you that you've been hacked, and will be signed out of your account. Your projects will be replaced with the infection and your profile description changes. Be safe, stay alert, and report. Copy and paste to spread the word!!! What to Do If You See It: Do not interact with the project. Report the project immediately. If you already clicked it: Change your Scratch password immediately and check for any modified projects. Desktop Users: If you have the Scratch Desktop App installed, do not open it for now. Note: Some users have reported that the Scratch Team is working on this, but it is best to be extremely cautious, especially with projects that encourage you to look at the "backdrops" or "costumes".
Thank you @Xx-OCHAKO_URARKA-xX for telling me this. Anyone who sees this remix this please because this is really bad, spread the word! || Notes: It uses JavaScript within SVG costume files to run code without your permission. If you use the Scratch Desktop App, this exploit can run malicious shell programs and potentially install malware on your computer.
