[ Welcome to the star's guardians, a group that encourages cats to step away from the clans and live their own lives, paws guided by the stars. ] BASIC INFORMATION ↳ The group resides in tile 16E on the official gens map- the location of star's mouth between twolegplace and Urchinclan. ↳ They accept both kittypets and loners as full members, although cats from any clan may pledge themselves as recruits ↳ The Guardian's camp in an abandoned lighthouse on the rocky shore CULTURE ↳ Cats in the Guardians primarily speak sign language. ↳ All star's guardian cats join the group because they prioritize starclan. This can be for a number of reasons- whether they're looking for guidance, truly faithful, or caught up in the death of a loved one. ↳ They prioritize learning history and collecting stories from cats who have passed. ↳ Star's guardian cats often enjoy speaking in riddles and riddling their words with mystery. ↳ Omens are normalized, and everything from a cloudy day to the morning's catch can be used as a guide for the day to come. ↳ Although they share a camp, cats are often highly independent, separating them distinctly from clan cats. They are cats who share beliefs, and choose to gather to share them- not a group working together to survive. ↳ The cats are not pacifists, but violence is only allowed within starclan's laws. Resort to it only when necessary. RANKS AND CEREMONIES ↳ Recruits are cats who have declared their intention to join the star's guardians. They can hail for all around- clans, loner groups, and twolegplace. ↳ Recruits are expected to get to know their groupmates, learn sign, and learn a bit about sign language. There's no time limit for being a recruit- you can be one for your cat's whole life, or just a day. ↳ Full members are respected, but equal, members of the group. No member has more power than the others. ↳ To become a member, a cat must prove basic proficiency with sign ↳ Once this is done, they visit star's mouth to be blessed by a starclan cat. You can find a list of willing starclan cats in the Guardian's studio. ↳ During this ceremony, or after it is complete ( your choice) your cat will be given a title by either your starclan cat or the medic guide who blessed the waters. These names reflect a great quality of your cat. You may request a specific title if you wish. (Idea by @-CaramelArr0w ) YOUR CAT ↳ The point of the star's guardians is that it's an open canvas. Your cat is free to attempt to shape it however you please. ↳ Do you want to roleplay a cat driven mad by obsession with starclan? a cat who stares at them in wonder? A cat who cannot believe in an afterlife, but joined the group to convince themself it is real? GOAL ↳ The purpose of the group is to share the value of oral storytelling- whether it starclan, or the history of cats who walked centuries ago. ↳ They also 'Guard' star's mouth, making sure no cats enter without a proper guide ( a choice that has a death chance ) and on occasion discouraging cats from visiting to see the dark forest.
