-The Latin Articles- - The Republic of Portugal and Principality of Catalonia will both adopt the Iberian Florin as their currency, and the Bank of Iberia (a combined bank of the Bank of Portugal and Bank of Catalonia) will become the state bank - Each constituent member state will continue using their internal laws, regulations, and internal policies and political systems; however, citizenship will be shared (eg, instead of a Portuguese or Catalan passport, there will be an Iberian passport), tariffs will be at 0 perminently, and freedom of movement is guaranteed - The Republic of Portugal and the Principality of Catalonia will share trade and foreign policy; if one is attacked, then the other must join the war and defend them. - The Republic of Portugal and the Principality of Catalonia will share a unified high command, with a unified army, navy, and air force, however both will maintain their own separate defence force under the direct jurisdiction of their respective constituant states - Each constituent state reserves the right to freely leave the Confederation if they conduct a referendum with over 50% support for leaving, neither constituent state can intervene with the other's referendum, and the internal government of each constituent state may call a referendum at any time they please, excluding during times of war or peninsula-wide crisis. - Every 6 months, the President of Portugal and the Prince of Catalonia will meet and discuss things like changes in policy and other important matters that must adressed by the constituant leaders and not by member govornments.
