REGISTER - control unit "IMT-aHVDL" /// general information DATA: the Internally Mounted Turbine-assisted High Voltage Discharge Lance, acronym IMT-aHVDL, is a defense system mounted within regularly-breached and generally dangerous atypical zones to deal with the entities within. The mechanism consists of a lightning conductor mounted outside of the facility to power the main spear and essential motors through a lightning discharge, a Compact Essence-based Soul Locator (CE-bSL), an extendable arm, an onboard artificial intelligence targeting system, and the spear, with a flashlight attached to it to allow the targeting system to work in dark environments. The targeting system automatically identifies all entities in its vicinity, and engages in combat when it notices a potentially dangerous organism. It constantly searches for nonhuman targets using the CE-bSL unit, in addition with its camera and artificial intelligence. The system will prioritize nonhuman organisms, and was hardcoded to avoid targeting all personnel tagged with ████ ██████████ clothing, which had worked extremely well. For further safety, zones with active defense systems have a (somewhat) visible warning at their entrances, and these areas are locked with remotely activated gates. (dude why are we protecting the darn weapons harder than the actual dangerous instances im crine) The main lance, which is protected by ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, is the primary offensive unit of the mechanism. It concentrates approximately 1.25 Megawatts worth of instantaneous electric power into a single beam, enough to cause arc flash trauma and instantaneous death to most living organisms. Its attack is almost completely unavoidable, as the rooms its usually stationed in are completely empty, meaning it is impossible to avoid the targeting system's line of sight. However, its poor rate of fire gives intruders enough time to escape the room it's stationed in, meaning the assistance of the S-lOMVF control unit is required for maximum effectiveness on intelligent organisms. The only way one can avoid the defense system unit is by not making contact with one in the first place. The targeting system of the IMT-aHVL is capable of keeping track of multiple targets at once, as well as being capable of predicting where a target could be if they exit its line of sight (e.g. by hiding behind easily-destructible temporary obstructions). ASSESSMENT: Devastating stationary weapon - Proven extremely effective //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// turret unit 30 000 health 37 500 total area damage (7 500 per frame) the turret randomly picks an enemy if no enemies are present, target the player but wait!!!! the turret itself counts as an enemy!!!! (this was an issue i had to fix, the turret would attack itself/other turrets) when targeting, the turret checks the "exex" list if the targeted enemy even exists at all, if the value is 1, then target confirmed usually when spawning an enemy, it adds "1" to the "exex" list. for turrets, i made them add "2" instead of "1" to the list, so the targeting system can differentiate between turrets and regular enemies, so it wont end up killing itself (turrets can still be caught in the crossfire)
you know what a +chargeback is, right? also press space to spawn a 1000 hp enemy @cannonBall908 - the turret (go follow he) BigRockBMP - 1000-THR "Earthmover" gosh this took so long (because i opened the editor of this project and did absolutely nothing so its my fault for being extremely indolent) things i used from @cannonBall908 's turret: - wire colours - the three circles that i have turned into four and made them brown - the yellow plating, which i turned brown to fit in with macrocosm's colour palette - the cyan gear thing which i had replaced with an enneagon - the rounded yellow rectangle, which of course i recoloured
