It's almost winter exam season! Here's a handy calculator to help you stay prepared and to encounter no surprises when it's all said and done. This project is a tool to help you figure out what you need to get on your semester exams to get a certain grade for the course. By knowing this, you can ease the stress of exam season. Click the start button to start, and the rest is pretty self-explanatory. In case it isn't self explanatory: When it asks you what percent your exams are worth, click the option that applies to your school. If it is not up there, click the other button to use a custom input. Then, Mr. Report Card will ask you what your grades were for the 2 quarters. If you're school uses a system besides quarters (trimesters, etc.) then input the SAME number for Quarter 1 and Quarter 2. The numbers calculated and displayed at the end show you what you need to get on the exam for that course to get a certain letter grade (grading scale below). After you're all done, you can click the start over button if you think you entered something wrong, or the new class button, which will just bring you back to the Grade Input screen so you can do the process again for a new course, while keeping the percentage you already entered. Grading Scale (I used my school district's, and its a pretty common scale across the nation) A+: 100+ A: 89.5-99.9 B: 79.5-89.4 C: 69.5-79.4 D: 59.5-69.4 F (also called E): 59.4 and below These results are not guaranteed 100% accurate, but they should be close.
