Since 2022, Railroad Soupcan has been using ELI's electric locomotives and in 2024 started using ELI's Multi-Purpose switchers. Since the railroad operates in Texas, the one who mostly gets affected is the electric locomotives due to weather issues. Because of this, railroad operations were often delayed. Railroad Soupcan is still not a Class 1 railroad, but needs better bigger locomotives. Because of this, the railroad has lost so much money. In order to save the company, Railroad Soupcan had ordered 50 locomotives initially, and plans to replace all the electric only locomotives.
New paint scheme and logo! Less Carbon emissions are Railroad Soupcan's, but Railroad Soupcan prefers the Tier 3 design. The problem is that for newer locomotive builds, T4s are required. To alleviate this problem, the SD70Ace T3 base design will be used, but with a T4 engine. Railroad Soupcan did not order any new locomotives since 2024, and it has accumulated enough money for these new locomotives despite loss of money. The SD70ACe's will mostly be used for bigger freight, and the SD70s mostly for yard work or the ZIP Transit passenger rail company. When it comes to ZIP Transit's locomotives, Railroad Soupcan has control.
