The first planets that rebelled against the Cybertronian Empire and allied with the Autobots were Nebulos, Lithone, Gorlam, Arduria, and Eukaris. Wanting to get more Cybertronian aid, the Autobots sent one team to Caminus, and another team to Velocitron. The remaining Autobots on Cybertron were led by Elita One. Caminus is a colony of Cybertron that is defined by their religion centered around Primus known as the Way of Flame. The planet had long been under Decepticon occupation since the Rust Plague occurred. When Optimus Prime and his Autobots arrived, they allied with local resistance groups. To deal with them, Megatron sent the Phase Sixer known as Overlord. Seeing the threat he posed to their operation, Optimus Prime put together a team to take down the one-bot army. The fight ended when Hot Rod pushed his flame powers to the limits to ensure Overlord stayed down. With Overlord out of the way, Caminus soon gained its independence from Cybertron. Velocitron is a planet that has racing and speed ingrained deep into their society. When the Decepticons occupied the planet they tried to bribe the leaders into agreeing with their demands. While this worked on Override, Ruckus refused to give in to the Decepticons' bribery and gave up his position to start a rebellion. When Arcana Magnus and her Autobots arrived on the Planet, they gave Ruckus the much needed aid to pose a threat to Override’s rule. This caught the attention of the Decepticon Justice Division who soon launched a full-on invasion of Velocitron. After a fight left the DJD leader heavily wounded, the Decepticons pulled out and Velocitron was freed from Override’s regime. With information from a captured Starscream, the Autobots and their allies finally launched a full-scale war against the Decepticons on Cybertron. They targeted the new capital, Kaon, and hoped that bringing the city down would collapse Decepticon rule entirely. Starscream’s intel revealed a weakness in the city's seemingly impenetrable shield that the Autobots were able to break after days of constant struggle. After fighting through hordes of Decepticons, Optimus Prime and Elita One had a final fight with Megatron. During the battle Elita One sacrificed herself by taking a fatal shot for Optimus. More determined than ever to stop Megatron, Optimus eventually came out as the winner of their duel. When Megatron flew away to retreat through a space bridge, Optimus Prime used his axe to gravely wound the Decepticon leader. With him going missing, Megatron was presumed dead and the lack of a central authority led to the end of the Cybertronian Empire. Shortly after, Shockwave was captured and going to be put on trial for his crimes, Starscream was in a similar position to Shockwave, though he argued he should be cleared due to his involvement in the Autobot’s victory, and Tarn as well as the DJD and numerous other Decepticon loyalists were on the run. All the planets once under Cybertron’s rule had been liberated which let a new era of the galaxy begin.
