So, When Feona (the cat) was born, her 5 year old cousin, Briar (the squirrel), was sent to kill her by Feona's own step-sister (the human). The step-sister believed that Feona was her father's true daughter (the step-sister was adopted). And wanted the family multi-million dollar buisness to belong to herself only. Briar thought it was the right thing to do because the step-sister was her best friend, and snuck into the hospital the night, swiss army knife in hand. When she found Feona asleep in her bed, Briar got back to her senses, but accidently dropped the knife on young Feona's left paw, severing it. If you wondering why Feona has a normal paw in everything else, she got prosthetic surgery when she was 4.
