Yet another dumb idea for my AU. The American Superplay Games! Essentially a counterpart to the Olympics, but instead of countries, its American states. Hosted every summer 2 years after the Summer Olympics. This is the eleventh Superplay Games, hosted in both Dallas and Fort Worth, both cities in Texas. Fox, the fourth major broadcaster in the United States is by then the national broadcast home of the games, with local stations (mainly WB and UPN affiliates) piping in edited versions of the broadcast. Foxy and Mangled, two characters from FNAF debut as mascots for the game, respectively known as Captain Foxyworth (representing Fort Worth and that city's historic lawlessness) and Dailia the Mantle (represent Dallas and its history with Hispanic culture). Scott Cawthon, then a young intern at Allen-based Lyrick Studios (within the DFW area), was the designer of the two, with assistance from then-Lyrick writer and artist Rick Duffield. I will expand on the American Superplay Games concept in the near future.
