Helix takes place a few months after Scratchsaken 2, where most of the Defaults that are left are hidden in Spawnport. Most killers simply wandered about the server, due to not having any prey to hunt. The survivors either left, died, or are also in Spawnport. At this point in time, dying as a user means getting all items, access levels, and powers removed. This wasn't the case before, as in the Scratchsaken era. There's some root issue at the Engine that's causing this, but that's for a different game. (A.R.Ds) Advanced Recon Defaults Programs built on the Default framework with the Architect's enhanced combat AI. Built to protect the server from the Bugs (Bugs) Collective term for anything not intended to be on the server/harmful. A key note is that they are unitlike and have stronger figures in a small chain of command. Term also includes other "races" Bugs, Glitches, Errors, etc. Most of which are enemies in Helix. Campaign Info: 9999 Campaign: 9999 makes his way from Serverbase all the way to the Hive, stopping by the bases to assist with the ongoing war. After slaying the Maledict, the leader figure of the Bugs, he learns of how the Otherman AI (Apparition) is the one behind the onslaught of Bugs. 9999 himself is a more complex version of an A.R.D. for reference. Assembly campaign: The Assembly is a sort of prototype Compile. The Dev finished his perfect AI, at a horrible time, his friends betrayed him in what is now the Flood. They were hidden away in the Archives for a little under 4 months. After having 4 months to contemplate it's future, they break out on a revenge spree to destroy the Admins, the Dev, and by extension, the A.R.D.s. They travel in a reverse of what 9999 did, only a few hours behind. Starting from Serverbase, they run around decimating many, MANY A.R.D.s. and as a cherry on top, 3 of the 4 bosses, are Admins, (Inky, Res, Cmdr) with the 4th being another advanced A.R.D. you'll have to inquire about. You've seen him before. Finale Outcomes: 1/3: Neutral Ending: (Only 9999 Campaign) 9999 makes his way to the Othertower, kills Otherman in an awesomely planned 2 phase bossfight... and nothing really happens. Maybe the Apparition was simply... a puppet. 2/3: Bad Ending: (Only Assembly Campaign) Fire. Destruction. Pain. An undoing of what could've saved the world. Assembly stares at the ruins of Serverbase, expecting his arrival. He descends, disappointed. It's the first time he's seeing his best project in months, and it's as an enemy. He sighs... A glance traded between them. They both acknowledge their fates. It doesn't matter. It's a power move. 3/3 True ending: (Finish both before playing finale) You, as 9999, return after defeating Otherman to your fellow A.R.Ds all wiped out. You follow the wreckage to the Assembly. With the Dev watching from above, you fight. As a thank you for reading this far, the next Errorstate game, planned to start development in late 2026, will involve the Arch Labs, and the Architect. It's gonna be one long trek to burn all loose ends.
lmk if there's anything i'm missing, or if you have anything to suggest
