Love like starlight. ꕀ・┊〃──⊰◇ she was resting. unbeknownst to her that it was all about to end. she was dreaming peacefully of live with her mate and kits. her and bluebell would be the best parents to bumblekit, trinketkit, and goldenrodkit. she would never be able to parent those kits they would be orphans . . . not quite. it was sunrise when the wolf broke into camp. their eyes gleaming with malice these cats had killed their companions they would suffer the consequences. the howl jolted bumble awake. "stay here" she mewed to her kits, as she ventured outside. their eyes widened in horror. the wolf was right there staring right at her. "no- no no no" she whispered, slowly pacing backwards "not today- please not today" she started sobbing as the wolf bared their teeth, nearing ever closer. she looked back at her kits. "you will never take them." bee strode forward. "I dont want to leave this world, but if it's to protect them-" she smiled fondly at the thought of bluebell. the times that they had spent together. "my kits will live to be warriors, mark my words. they are strong. stronger than I am. and I-" she trailed off. "I am stronger than I thought." she launched herself at the wolf "YOU SNAKEHEARTED WOLF" she screeched, clawing the pelt of the first and last wolf she had ever seen. She was large for a cat, but the wolf was larger. the beast pinned her to the floor. she struggled, but to no avail. "this may be the end of my life" she mewed, thinking fondly of her mate and kits. "but theirs is only beginning." she looked at her kits, who were standing, horrified, by the nursery entrance. "remember this little ones-" she murmured, her heart slowing. "I may be gone from the living world, but I will always, always love you. love is like starlight- it never truly dies." she looked at the wound on her neck. "look at that" she choked, coughing up blo0d. "I will never leave you!" she called. the wolf had left. it was on the other side of camp now. "bloo- hold my paw" she whispered, tears brimming in the corners of her eyes "the love of my life- I dont want to leave" she trailed off, spending her last breath in her mate's arms.
that was emotional- I may have cried a bit writing that. . . bumblebeewatcher experienced a lot in her life. sadness. great loss. but also- great love. and she owes it all to bluebellcloud. ⊱───✦・┊❏ . writer's notes+thanks. ꕀ・┊〃──⊰◇ gosh, did I love that cat. bumble was the highlight of my scratch experience so far she's gonna be so active from starclan you'll barely be able to believe it- she had an awesome life, but I have a few cats in particular to thank! . bluebellcloud BLOOBLEBEE WAS THE CUTEST SHIP EVERRRR I loved roleplaying with bloo so much hehehehe thank you for that Cody >:3 those interactions with bell made bumble's life so happy, although I wish they could've spoken even more! . pigeonstar AAAA you designed my bumblebaby and I'll always be infinitely grateful that you accepted me in that litter. bee was the best gens cat EVERRR and I loved roleplaying with her with allllll my heart. she unfortunately wont be going to the DF because she didnt do anything bad in her lifetime, but I would've loved that! maybe they can roleplay on the border! . serenademarvel heh serenade caused a lot of inner turmoil with bumble. he was her apprentice crush, and without him, bee would never have fallen in love with bloo, so thanks so much for that! . eruptpaw RAHHH erupt made bumble happy even on her worst days. those kit games that they played together when he was still in the nursery helped her get through it all, and I still cant thank you enough for that! . cicadachirp cici was such a good sisterrrr I'm so sad that she oofed as well- cri Drago is the only one left of the awesome sibs </3 these safety fails are brutal- there are so many more people that I need to thank, but I dont have time to add them all right now! thank you to everyone that I role-played with, this has been awesome! regarding bumblebee's accessories, I will be keeping them all for her! she's gonna be that one character that I always draw- I absent-mindedly draw her everywhere hehe. . . and for those of you that are excited for her litter! trinketkit, bumblekit, and goldenrodkit are coming soon! gosh I just really hope that flurryclan survives long enough for them- LONG LIVE THE WHIMSICAL CLAN WHOO!
