A non-biblically accurate rendition of Purgatory where the people who live there are more as traumatized than whoever lives in Hell. The protagonist "Inky" is killed in battle in the year 1607, where he is then turned into an Anterat before being forced to be in God’s waiting room until his day of reckoning. Where you can't die but you can bleed. When the infinite white city mixed with the snow is bad enough, just wait until the night comes and it turns to cold ash. The only way to end the suffering is your reckoning day. Pray it’s soon.
