Once they reach camp Fox about jumps with excitement but the stares of other cats burning into her pelt stops her. Lightstar jumps onto a huge stump and yowls “All cats old enough to swim across the river gather here beneath the Great Stump for a clan meeting.” All the cats begin to gather around “We have a new cat joining us.” Lightstar gestures with her tail for Fox to walk over, “This is a cat we found in the forest. She’ll join us as my apprentice and her new name shall be Foxpaw!” The cats don’t seem bothered and they shout out “Foxpaw! Foxpaw!” Looking around Foxpaw smiles happily and Mudpaw walks up “Let’s go to the apprentice den! Your training will begin tomorrow.” Foxpaw nods and follows him, settling into a nest where she falls asleep.
