glorygravity padded across urchinclan's vast dunes, the sound of wind rushing past with a staticky feeling on his paws. the sensation felt akin to an odd sort of buzzing; not too dissimilar to the vibrations of the hoverflies that lingered along urchinclan's coves. really, though it felt as if everything was buzzing---for what must've been the first time in moons, glorygravity felt his mind thrumming with activity. how long had it been since he was quite so aware as he felt now? the dusky brown tomcat found himself unable to remember. perhaps it was the first time his eyes had been so open. no, that was a stretch, certainly. nonetheless, glorygravity felt that he was finally seeing his reality clearly. and, goodness, it was a disappointing reality, wasn't it? all these moons, what had he been doing? had lori been merely bumbling along, mumbling half-hearted answers and excuses for everything? really, glorygravity doubted that he'd done even one impressive feat, or service to his clan, in his lifetime. sure, he patrolled, but that was just going through the motions. his inadequacy only became clearer when glorygravity saw his littermates. they had kits, now, and warrior names that they had earned with their own jaws and teeth and claws. in all respects, they were glowing. lou would be lying if he didn't admit that he was the tiniest bit in awe of them. now, glorygravity certainly wasn't going to complain and whine and grumble about his own 'misfortunes,' or what have you. he knew he had done this to himself. and perhaps that was what stung most---shouldn't he have done better? for all of his perfectionism, and supposed determination, he had sunk to the level of he cats whose thought he may have scoffed at as a kit. it was humiliating, most of all in his eyes, and glorygravity resented the hole he had dug himself into with a fervor. having walked enough that he was now face-to-face with the rushing waters and horizon beyond, glory began to pace back and forth with growing animation. what he had to do was obvious: make up for the time he had lost, and become something useful. something that urchinclan would appreciate. something /he/ could be proud of. it was the path there was harder to discern. nevertheless, if glorygravity owed anybody one thing, it was to try his hardest. scuffing his paws against the sand in a way that sent it flying as the sound ricocheted vibrations up his hind legs, glorygravity glanced towards the horizon briefly. when he thought about it, it really was a nice day. then, with a newfound determination, glo turned back towards camp. he would hunt on the way back. ______________________________________ notes uahahaahghb this is. bad writing rip. but its honestly way past due, and i'd rather now than later. so sorry for how inactive i've been with glory. i'm gonna do better this time. trust if you wanna rp with him, lmk! i'd love to ^^ _______________________________________ credits art + writing by glory designed by zomm code by
