Nailers Feature Film Company was founded in 1944 by film producer Dru Donington, and would go on to become one of the Laotianlands’ “instant major” film studios. In 1992, the studio was acquired by the Laofilm Group for £15,000, and was turned into the low-profile film label of Laofilm in 2004. In 2009, following the box office failure of “The Suite V: Keep on Suitein’” (2008), NFFC was folded into Laofilm, and Ivy Film Corporation took over the sequel rights to their films. The final nail (no pun intended) in the coffin came in 2023 when Laofilm shut down their Mexing studios formerly occupied by NFFC, as all productions at the studio moved to their main studios in Laotian City.
