This is part one of my grand Andromeda campaign, seeing as y'all skipped my claimed next turn in this affair(just taking a long time with the PU Empire and IRL things ye know) I see it fit that I may state these opening moves, and create the proper project(part two) later on. I'm mostly sharing this so there isn't a lot of chaos in the middle east when Jansan's force would have never made it past the Oort cloud. As mentioned in earlier projects, Kosan and the council saw Jansan as a potential threat as fighting with them can disrupt the Frontlines with the gems, and as a historically hostile alien empire from a faraway galaxy, poking its nose directly in the dominion's home, its own home planet. Maintaining its sort of space-monroe doctrine, it has blockaded Jansan from Sol. Even with their Krasnikov tubes, as established earlier, the Dominion maintains wide space-time disruption fields in a several light year radius of its systems, which have only been even more advanced ironically thanks to the Adyntum front and research made on its interdimensional capabilities. Without knowing the local frequency, you cannot warp space-time within a certain radius of one of our star systems. But that doesn't matter...... Because the Phoenix Council sees an opportunity with Jansan. A wealthy, populous star Empire in a good trans-galactic position to disrupt the gem supply lines between the milky way and their core galaxies. So a trap was laid, years ago(or months ago IRL. My buds at the Imperial Axis can vouch for me that this was all planned.....) Instead of stopping Jansan, the Dominion will let them come to us, using Mesopotamia as bait. And when they come to use, they would have created a trans-galactic passageway between us, Voidia, and their own home Galaxy...... Thus, that is what happens. Star-Force offers no resistance to Jansan, allowing them to build their tube up to the Oort cloud, and where they turn back on the disrupting fields and ambush the Jansan fleet dead in the water. Utilizing our tried and tested FTL swarming doctrine against their star-destroyers with turrets. Soon after, the tubes are hijacked. Star-Force sends in specialized warping ships into the tube, to hold positions along its length from Sol to Voidia, which use their own space-time warping capabilities to maintain it, and control it. Dividing it into easier to handle sections, and to shut off portions that hold Jansan fleets trying to travel through. With this, a proper line of supply and communication is established between the Alpha and Delta quadrants, as following the tubes, forces are sent to coordinate with Voidian forces to besiege their bases in voidian territory. But the operation does not end there, as from here they continue to seize control of the tubes leading from their bases to Andromeda, Mid-way, proper stations are put in place to keep an eye out for other Jansanian tubes forming and to launch an intercept force. Which they proceed to do, launching a flurry of ambushes on Jansan's supply lines to the milky way. The stations act as an amiable junction to launch our own modified tubes at theirs to takeover. Now, after doing some research, time still passes for something traveling through one of these things. So obviously the travel of our forces to Andromeda will take time. Which is where i'll end things here, y'all will have to wait for part two of my turn..... (Its also 1:00 am rn. Which is why this project is not as neat and tidy as I would have liked) But now the turns have tabled. In a well executed plot, Jansan is now cut off from the milky way, its forces meant for the holy land destroyed, and its own home Galaxy about to be invaded by a coalition of Milky way powers.... It is only the beginning of a set of horrors. The Dominion sees Jansan not as a nation, or even savior from the gems as they claim. But as a source of food..... In a continuation of the trend seen in Mita space, the Dominion isn't looking for conquest, but to plunder every bit of bio matter and raw resources from Jansan, as the Milky way, in its desperation to ensure its own survival, decides its must consume Andromeda in order to defeat the Gem Nemesis...... A war that has eroded any semblance of moral dignity....
Now, I done a bit of reading and video watching on Krasnikov tubes ever since your response to my statement. And it doesn't disprove my point. My point was not that going FTL was impossible, but that even at the fastest FTL speeds, it would take over a century just to cross the milky way. Let alone the 2.5 million lightyears to Andromeda. You would not only need to gather enough mass to warp a tube of space-time 2.5M lightyears long, but would need to gather exotic matter and negative energy, which by itself is extremely difficult to get. Let alone enough to warp that. It may get even worse, as the mass demand increases when you want to push the travel time to a few months like your past projects noted. (They are also potentially unstable. With simple quantum effects potentially causing them to collapse, thus how the space-time disruptions we are using can be enough to collapse or prevent a tube from forming) The logistics get more complex when you consider you must put this mass along it to mold it and keep it in place, and all that jazz. Anywho. The tube is an interesting topic, and i'll look more into it in the future just out of my own intuition(its a tad bit similar to a FTL concept of my own. Utilizing time dilation effects) But ignoring the logistics of building it, if you insist you can have it, then I'll follow my tradition of turning my enemy's advantages into disadvantages. And make this backfire by seizing them and using them to attack Jansan itself. And assimilating the technology and improving it ourselves. The Dominion has also made its own modifications and improvements to the technology. By establishing a network of stations along it, that use their own space-time warping capabilities to hold greater control over its respective section. Allowing it to adjust the direction of destination, collapse it on enemy fleets within it, and re-establish it. And in a way, cut the tube up into more manageable sections for greater control and stability. Another thing of notability, is how the Dominion doesn't rely on costly(and questionable) things like negative energy and exotic matter to warp time and space, instead using complex matrixes and carefully shaping/positioning regular mass to create similar effects.(which I guess also deserves its own project, and is some theoretical physics I spent way too long overthinking about while waiting for cow water dishes to fill up) Actually, the more I think about it, this system may deserve its own project and explanations. because I'm just that nerdy :>
