Well, finally. After the entirety of Namibia had been liberated by socialist forces from Oceania, a dawn looms; a future that looks bright. Post the invasion, the territories were handed to the ROSA, to unite the entirety of Namibia and to form the DRON (Democratic Republic Of Namibia), a new nation formed with new territories but the same principles. The flag as well as the name of the nation has changed to match the new identity forged by the unification After consolidating these lands, the DRON plans on full integration by PEACEFUL means alone. Soldiers and police forces are deployed in this time of extended unification to uphold law and order. Upon unification, the first action of the state is to rapidly militarize and mobilize the nation while also promoting peace, welfare and upholding socialist ideals. Since the DRON is relatively vulnerable, we begin recruiting men as frontsoldiers purely for the sake of defense, and our military capability for offensive strikes currently appear to be a huge waste of manpower. Along with this, schools and centres of education are opened, with a specific emphasis on socialist ideals and the use of propoganda , claiming that the DRON is the epitome of socialism, in order to make the people-state bond stronger and to bring a new sense of nationalism despite the state being a nuanced democracy (however there is conduction of free and fair democratic elections). To ensure that our coast does not fall prey to foreign actors and to maintain effective control over our waters, many people living in coastline areas are recruited to form a "State Navy Of Namibia (SNON), which also like it's ground counterpart, currently operates for the sole purpose of defense. To bring in wealth, Namibia begins rapidly mining for minerals found in the southern regions, discovering vast resources such as diamonds and coal. While these appear to be only short-term resources, these may provide the economic boost/momentum that will push our nation into great heights. And last, but not the least, the air force of our nation is dependent mostly on the jets and planes as well as aircraft seized from the former fascist state of Namibia. By seizing vehicles intended for warfare from our predecessors, we attempt to form a rag-tag group of forces operating on land, the skies and the seas. Soon, however, hope shall lie these rag-tag forces will one day, after rigorous training and endurance will end up as great military forces. I am still relatively new to the world of project based roleplays. If there is any mistake or error or if I have mentioned something unrealistic, please confront me and let me know where I went wrong, and I'm very happy to learn. Please don't void me instantly
Also, the DRON is a strict, NON-SIGNATORY of the Seoul pact. Reasons: 1) The DRON, despite being a developing nation, does not want to accept terms dictated by a non-allied power. The point is that the Seoul convention goes against the freedom and liberty of the state. by accepting the convention, the state would be accepting terms dictated by a non ally foreign power, reducing the independent nature of the state, no matter how small the territory in the control of the state is. 2)The DRON was formed after a war with namibia (the DRON was formerly known as the ROSA- republic of southwest africa, a nation based mostly on southern namibia), as a result accepting such a convention would mean that the state would be restraining its own rights to military exertion, which would be a huge slump for a state that is new. 3) Despite the state being fully committed to peaceful integration, the propogation of fear MIGHT (not guaranteed) be necessary in times of political turmoil or terrorism. thus, the state is unwilling to compromise on its right to independence. 4) Despite all of this, the soldiers prefer following a moral and social code of conduct when conducting military operation. accepting a foreign proposal limits their own freedom to do anything they can, which might help as a last resort (all of this is clearly an rp)
