Saving stories I write in school Backrooms Level A438: "The Pet Shop" Backrooms level A438, also known as “The Pet Shop” or “The Home of Gladys”, is a Class 3 Level with surprisingly only one entity. Level A438’s appearance is one of a worn down pet shop in what appears to be the middle of nowhere. All hallways, isles, and corridors are known for seeming vast, spacious, and infinite. The establishment is endless and huge, with all doors and windows leading to the outside either boarded up or locked. On the shelves in the isles is usually unheard of pet food brands, broken collars, torn leashes, disturbing looking pet toys, and bells scattered bells everywhere. The pet food is moldy, the isles are barely standing, and stock is sparse. None of it is worth keeping or looking into until further notice. It is noted that in all of the breakrooms scattered around this infinite space, various helpful supplies such as first aid kits, edible food, and almond water. There aren’t any digital clocks here, only analog clocks that are all stopped at 3:05. Most levels like this would have Facelings, Smilers or similar human-like and common entities, yet this level only has one particular entity only known to be found here as of me documenting this May 12th, 2026. This entity is known as Gladys, also referred to as Anomaly 409, this entity is extremely violent in nature, commonly known for attacking explorers. Gladys takes the form of a grey feline-like beast with a purple tint. It has no eyes and a wide black, fake mouth in the shape of an unsettlingly wide smile. Its body is that of a spider, with eight long legs as its movement source. Gladys’ real mouth is actually on what is believed to be its stomach. It has been found that Gladys will stand on their four hind legs, and use the remaining four to shove their prey of choice into their mouth. This entity is still not fully researched, so we know little about it, therefore we have no information on whether it has a weakness or not. This entity is also known for letting out a high pitched shrill capable of causing temporary ear and eye damage. That is all of the documented information I have for now. I will update when further information is found, as research is still being conducted.
