this is my second twst oc, Kairo. be kind to him world :3 uh the text gets a lil wonky so I added a zoom-in code, although you could just fullscreen it. AND if that's not enough for you guys, I'll personally rewrite it all! (the info I write on here will have some additional details :0) Name: Kairo Embercrest Age: 18 Year: 2nd Birthday: November 14 (Scorpio) Dorm: Scarabia Class: 2-D Seat No.: 5 Club: Board Game Club Hobby: Improv (among other acting shenanigans) Homeland: Scalding Sands Likes: Snacks (specifically crackers), and being praised Dislikes: Being ignored, and hummus (he hates the combination of the texture and the taste) Unique Magic: Feathered Mimicry - "By the plumage of a distant mirage, circle in the skies above us. Feathered Mimicry!" - Allows the user to summon any temporary illusion that lasts 20 seconds before dissolving into feathers. (Time can be extended with a potion.) "I'll do it for a cracker!" Additional info: Kairo Embercrest is based on Jafar's parrot, Iago, from Aladdin. Kairo comes from a long line of performers and prestigious entertainers. As a child, he inherited excellent talent, which he often used to his advantage. He became a child celebrity and kept his family's good reputation, as they were one of the most notable groups of people in the community. At the age of 15, when his acting career was at its highest, his family was invited to a banquet hosted by the Asim family. This is where he met Kalim, and Jamil shortly after. Kairo took more of a liking to the latter, and started to interact with him more despite his higher standing. As every famed figure does in their career, Kairo was met with challenges. He started receiving backlash for his sudden uprise in the community at such a young age, and those who resented him began to target him and his family. As a result, he eventually quit his career at the age of 16 for the better, ensuring safety for his family before attending NRC. Although he had quit his career, he still kept most of his flashy characteristics. This is shown through wearing showy pieces of couture, his favorite item being his red feather boa. His flamboyance was also shown in his attitude, often seeking attention and compliments as a way to somewhat regain the satisfaction he had during his time as an adored idol. He soon reunited with Jamil in his freshman year at NRC. As mentioned earlier, his respect for him grew, to the point where Kairo even suggested to serve him. Jamil, however, was skeptical and didn't quite support the fact of a servant having a servant, let alone a former celebrity falling to his knees. Noticing Jamil's skepticism, Kairo quickly thought of a way to prove his sincerity. As a way of swearing fealty, he frantically began shearing his once-long hair in an attempt at persuasion. However, Jamil stopped him before he could go any further, resulting in the longer chunk of hair in the back that Kairo sports, often tying it in creative bands. Jamil eventually caved in, but only if Kairo agreed to make it seem neutral. Since then, Kairo has been Jamil's right-handed wingman. (haha, get it? i'm not funny.) Kairo is fond of Kalim, often resulting in helping him plan parties, and tutoring him in certain subjects when Jamil is unable to. Kairo also acts like Jamil's second pair of eyes and ears when it comes to Kalim, and spends a lot more time with him because of this. During Jamil's overblot, Kairo stood by Kalim the whole time despite swearing his fealty to Jamil. Fun Facts: - Kairo once did a breakdancing gig with Jamil, and was surprisingly good at it. - His favorite color is actually white. - He once used his unique magic to create a guest diversion so Jamil could rest instead of cooking for one of Kalim's parties. (Kalim eventually found out that it was an illusion, and was highly upset when he realized the student at the entrance was NOT a party guest.) - Kairo's cackling can often sound like a squawking parrot. - In dim settings, his eyes seem lime green, but are Amber in better lighting. - When he sheds his feathers, he gives them to Kalim and Jamil to wear in their hair. - Crackers are his comfort food since he would eat them as a kid instead of the huge feasts that were prepared back at his home. - He has no siblings, which is the excuse he usually uses when he can't "read the room". - He once used his acting skills to get out of doing Trein's assignment, claiming that he had lost his pen. He had offered to pluck a feather from his wings to use as a quill, but the disgusted Trein quickly shot the idea down before it could become reality, telling him to get it in by next week. - Riddle once collared him for breaking into the common room of Heartslabyul and stealing a pack of crackers. (He was out, and he was desperate) - He gets disgusted at the mention of girls, like a little kid.
