-Start Part 1- Biana stopped at her locker before lunch, licking the silver strip with a grimace. She wasn't sure what the flavor was today, but it must've been Elwin's day to choose. She picked up a small sparkley bag from her locker and unzipped it, pulling out a tube of lip gloss. As she reapplied her makeup she noticed Sophie and Keefe walking by in her mirror. Keefe seemed to have made a joke, judging by how hard Sophie was laughing. Biana noticed how Sophie's straight blond hair fell down as she shook with laughter. Her hair greatly contrasted her deep brown eyes, bringing even more attention to their uniqueness. It was no wonder Keefe gained intrest in her so fast. She was beautiful. There was no lying with that. And she was akward, and shy, and stubborn, and something about her just pulled Biana's attention to her everytime she was near. At first Biana greatly disliked Sophie- because she didn't want Sophie to use her get closer to her brother- but now, every time Sophie gave all of her attention to someone else, Biana felt a pit settle in the bottom of her stomach that she couldn't explain. Biana was pulled from her thoughts as Sophie and Keefe stopped to wait on Biana. "Dressing up for a boy?" Keefe teased, wagging his eyebrows, "What? She takes forever with her makeup," he added to Sophie when she elbowed him. Biana just rolled her eyes at him, putting away her lip gloss and closing her locker before turning to the couple. "You haven't been over in a while," she comments, "Can we hang out this weekend? Alden is working on another project for the council, so he might not be there, but Fitz and Della will be. Maybe we could have a sleep over." Sophie's brows furrowed as the corners of her eyes creased with concern, "Is everything okay? My family hasn't had to relocate again, have they?" "No! No," Biana rushed to set Sophie's mind at ease, "I think it's something about the ogres. I just heard the last of the conversation, but Alden was talking to Councillor Bronte over the imparter. I don't think it's anything to worry about." Keefe smirked, "You're starting to sound like Alden," which in turn earned him another elbow to the side. "Oh, Okay. Well, I'll have to talk to Grady and Edaline, but I think this weekend is fine," Sophie confirmed, looking slightly relieved with Biana's explanation. Biana internally cheered as they finally headed toward the cafeteria. She may not understand how deeply her feelings for Sophie ran, but she knew she loved hanging out with Sophie. She was looking forward to hanging out with her over the weekend. -End Part 1-
This is a completely original fanfiction by me. The starry background was found on google, but the story is mine. The characters are from Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger. :D I'd love to join in on any KOTLC ship debates in the comments, but keep your words polite and respect other people's beliefs. I understand that Sophiana is an unpopular ship, but that does not mean people should be rude because of who ships what.
