5/22/2026 It's time to soar to even greater heights. \\\\\\\\\\\\\ Click through the few slides I have down as awesome memories, and listen to some of the songs I like! ///////////// Yup, I'm sure you're not surprised. I've been on this site for over 11 years, and now that the next chapter of my life is about to begin, I think it's time to wrap up this chapter here on Scratch. I'm gonna be old! By the time I leave, I will be an adult, so it's probably for the best I jump off of the kids coding website. Unfortunately, I won't be able to post the groundbreaking things I have ready. If you know where I post elsewhere though... You'll get to hear it! I might also not be able to follow through with some past things I've agreed to. I'll do my best, and if I can finish them I'll post them before leaving again. My apologies! My time here has been quite the ride! From (terrible) game programmer, Minecraft animator, music producer, and now even a Java programmer, my journey has gone through a lot of new stuff. I had a blast exploring my interests and unknowingly growing! I had an awesome time with the friends I made on Scratch. I wouldn't change a single thing about the amazing things I've seen here in this community. For a time, Scratch was something I could come back to and always know I would have fun. I was a little lonely back in the day! I never expected my little Scratch profile to grow to over 300 (301 lol) followers and influence so many people around the world. I have listeners from the USA, Canada, Mexico, Great Britain, South Korea, Vietnam, Japan, and so many more places! Kinda mindblowing to think about, eh? There's over a total of 500+ fans from all platforms combined. That could easily fill a large lecture hall at the university I'll be attending in the Fall (WOOOOOO); it's hard to comprehend! I'm no good at writing super crazy awesome letters and such, so I'm probably forgetting a lot of things. But I do really want to show how awesome you guys have made my life. Thank you all for supporting me through this awesome life I'm living, and thank you for listening to my songs! I hope you all find success like I have! In no particular order at all, here's a few of my favorite times on Scratch... 1. The massive positive reception of "Never Get Me" - It is still to this day one of my biggest songs on Scratch. I've never had a song ever get so many loves and favorites within 20 minutes of me posting. So many people have told me how it has affected them, I'm honored to have stirred up those emotions in you. Don't worry, you've got this. They'll never get you. 2. Joining Kokoro Beats - I met so many talented people, some who I keep in touch with even today! The experience as the audio manager there was cool too! This might help me in my future career: pursuing a Product Manager position! It was a great experience, I still think back on it fondly. Follow your heart! 3. Helping out people with music. - I've met some awesome music producers, some who have helped me grow as well as some who I've befriended and helped! It's awesome having fellow music producers to talk to, and it's even crazier watching you guys get better than me XD 4. Lol getting me into anime - I used to hate anime, I had quite a prejudice against it. But some of you guys convinced me to watch some anime or play some anime-styled games. Even listen to some Japanese music! Now, I'm a big Project SEKAI and Honkai: Star Rail fan, a huge J-pop and J-rock fan, and have watched an anime! It's pretty cool, and apparently I "don't know ball" when it comes to anime. Just today I was told that I needed to watch Jojo something. Gotta put that on my list! 5. "Working" for the Piano Shop, Record Scratchers, etc. - Making music for you guys taught me a lot about composition and making songs specifically for other people. You have no idea how much this has helped me. Now, I have the experience to compose for videos or video games! Even more, I can make songs for specific media purposes! Stay tuned ;D 6. Giving me confidence. - I'll admit, I wasn't always the most confident kid. I was pretty shy! But in a way, you guys have played a part in helping me become the person I am today. Now, I can speak my mind, be confident about my skills, and know that I am not just an average person. We are ALL insanely special, and I now know that too. I might add more as I remember things over the next few weeks, but for now take what I have now. Genuinely, I loved my time here and with you guys. Thank you for everything. - Signed, Avery (aka Potang)
