we watched Indiana Jones in social studies I've never seen it before but I hate it so much to start: the woman. I'm gonna sound a little double standardy but I'm not mad because they made the only main female character dumb, I'm mad because shes meant to be comic relief, but shes not. and I do still understand the jokes shes meant to be making and it is still maddening take Riley from national treasure. he's funny. he's good. he's well written while still being overlooked, walked on, etc. etc. and he does his job: he's funny while STILL being an entertaining and important character that girl isn't funny shes frustrating, dumb, and annoying. THEN there's this one scene. these weird cult people are using slaves to try and find these magic rocks and this dude is beating this guy and Indiana is watching and he just saw them do a HUMAN SACRIFICE IN THE NAME OF THE GOD THEY WORSHIP BY BURNING SAID SACRIFICE ALIVE AFTER RIPPING HIS HEART OUT OF HIS CHEST and he's seeing all this go down and he thinks: well what if I throw a rock at this cult group? and he does. and instead of HIDING he SITS and STARES as they turn around and look at him and looks genuinely shocked when theyre mad like WHAT???? what did you expect to happen omg.... edit: his hat is his only source of brain cells
