(At the convention Ianus address the crowds and delivers the following message:)
Fellow citizens, I come here before you to discuss recent developments. Things are undeniably bad, far worse than they have been before. But we can weather this challenge as we have all others. No hardship nor war has yet brought the Sanctum low, as we have always held onto to faith. But faith, it seems, has been in short supply. People have turned away from trust and from faith in this city and in those who carry the burden of running it, and have started attacking everything the Sanctum stands for, knowledge, hope, prosperity, all in the name of freedom. But this is no freedom, whatever the Pyramid may want you to think, this is the decline of something great. Since the Pyramid’s bloodless coup, thousands of people have forsaken the values this city founded on and gone towards a control-obsessed band of former terrorists built around a cult of personality. If you are one of these people, it is not too late to turn back, for the key to our redemption is within each of us. Let not this great city begin its final chapter because the people lost faith, but endure and stand strong together.
