My legs and core hurt. I'm not really that athletic of a person, and don't particularly enjoy the great outdoors, but I still like being in nature. But Field Day always beats me up. Especially since I'm in middle school. First off, we get to choose activities during field day. But, we earn points, since we were on a team. But all the activities are competitive competitive, and that's something I don't like when it comes to sports. ESPECIALLY points. I'm all for fun, not competition. But this year, I tried. First, I showed off my artistic ability in chalk art. Team red (The teams are red, orange, yellow, green, and blue. I was orange) won that. Then, after lunch I did Gatchaball*. Green won that. Then came flag football. This get's it's own section, because it's one of the sports I like. So I'm fine with competition. Our team wins a couple of games. But, we lost most because we were a team of SIX. The closest team to us had eleven. And one other thing. I'm good at the game because almost no one passes to me. I got the ball ONCE that entire game. Once. and that was what wasted my legs. Another break over. I at least got some Gatorade to give me energy. I then did 4-square**. But, being one of the only people to do it, I kept getting targeted. Especially by red team. so, I reached the next break. After that was a free time period, practically, so I sat back in my chair that I was in and just stayed. There were options to rack up some final points, so everyone flocked over there, leaving me to be one of the few people left to stay back. That's where I stretched a bit, so the pain isn't as bad the day after (today). But it's still bad. So that's why I'm writing about it, as well as what happened during field day.
*- Gatchaball is practically a game where you have to hit a ball across the ground in a pit that goes down to your knees, and try to get others out by hitting them in the knees or lower. If you hit above the knees, either a person or out of the pit, your out. **- 4-square is a game where you practically in a 2x2 box, with a king, queen, knight, and peasant. You come in on peasant, and you can only have a ball bounce in your square once (there's only one ball). After it bounces, you hit it into someone else's square, and the process repeats.
