The Half-Faced. A group of dares and danger. [[ table of contents ]] - Group History - Group Territory - Group Builds - Group Beliefs - Group Behaviors - Special Rules - How the Leadership System Works ` Group History ` This group formed during a harsh battle between OasisClan and RubbleClan, resulting in a medic leaving RubbleClan and gathering other exiles and Shallows to form a danger-based, strength-based group that survives nearby the Clans. It broke off and has since gone through many trials testing the group. Many have thought it would crumble, especially with it's no-join tactic, but it still stands strong. ` Group Territory ` These cats reside on a small group of islands off of the main island, known as the Barrens. The largest, enhousing the Elites, is known as Shark's Nest. They do not hunt on these islands, though, as they're too small. They hunt on the unclaimed lands, swimming from each island to hunt. ` Group Builds ` Medium cats with medium-length fur, and long, hooked claws. Their tails are often long and covered in thick fur, unlike the rest of their bodies. Pelt colors and patterns, eye colors vary, and range widely. Scars are heavy and common, a sign of power and detication. ` Group Beliefs ` The Half-Faced believe in an after-life, yes. But just wandering ghosts, which they call Shadows. (Shadows may rp in the unclaimed lands as wandering ghosts. literally.). They communicate with the Shadows, but do not think them better or ethereal. Just lost souls. They are reckless, and dare eachother often. It's a hard life with them (if you've ever read Divergent, they're basically Dauntless but cats). They have different ceremonies and roles/ranks. ` Group Behaviors ` The Half-Faced do not welcome any one. Hostile and dangerous, they'll attack strong-looking Shallows for fun. They hold contests like Shark Hunting, by finding the first shark of the group each time the contest is held. Border contests often enclude tresspassing or stealing from the clans. The like. Okay there's going to be something very long, but you can skip it y'know. :D "The Half-Faced have a high de@th rate! Please do not join if you're uncomfortable with this! Half-Faced cannot leave the group, and none can join unless they are desperate, facing a series of trails. At the end of every month, the cat with the lowest exp (older than 24 moons old) are k!lled off in a ritual called "The Safety," with the Firefly (healer) leading it. Leaders are called Wings (there's three at a time) and each Wing has a Talon, a protector and adviser, to take their place after d3ath. !There is no way to retire, and you will not get to that age! Kits are called Chicks, and learning cats called Fledglings. Teachers are called Feathers. Chicks are raised by the whole group." yep that's long ` Special Rules ` Ranks: to be explained Joining: Joining is not possible. You must be born there. Special Skill: Same as Shallows, but different ways to get it. Exploration. Swim onto the main island with another cat, name a landmark on one of the smaller islands, hunt within a clan's borders, compete and win a small (1-2 cats) contest. ` How the Leadership System Works ` So, in depth, the Half-Faced (maaaaaaybe you should read the long thing...) appoint a Firefly, and have one for each aspect of life, along with Talons and Wing. The things they stand for are Survival, Fearlessness, and Family. They believe that these virtues will guide them in life, and therefore have a Wing, Talon, and Firefly for each one. Each has their own ideas and thoughts, which is the point. These elites all have two-part names (besides the Firefly fledgling), Talon's names being ____'s Talon, Wings being ___'s [somthing relating to birds, flight, or that kind], and Fireflies having something to do with danger or fire and/or healing.
