(judging from the overwhelmingly affirmative response to the geometrans i'm just going to use them) The 408th Lœdensteg has commenced in Stralmöer. While most Lœdenstegs can be pretty tense, this particular one is overflowing with tension. This session's points of contention lays in two factors, the Gildepaakt-NKO War that just recently sparked alongside the related growing tensions in the north, and how to deal with the growing extremism in the country that threatens to destroy the current political order. Whereas the Pinks from Rønnd feel like their best choice is to lay low and weather the storm, many Pälysovic centrists argue that inaction will lead to the inevitable subjugation of the nation. Pälysovic conservatives have filed into either sect, leading to the Lœdensteg practically turning into a battle for who can convince the most conservatives. The battlefield of indecision has resulted in everything bottoming out, and nothing coming out of this Lœdensteg regarding international politics - well, except for one thing. The only thing anybody could decide to do is send some humanitarian aid for what is forecasted to be a pretty wide-scale war. The aid will be directed at all affected areas, not just one bloc. The other major debacle, the one of extremism, was a lot more straightforward. With elections in just two months, the leading members of both Pälysovia and Rønnd have both decided to attempt and sneak in a few more policies to appeal to the lower echelons of society, to try and at least slow the spread of competition. All parties have left the Lœdensteg for the month, and its safe to say that even despite the tensions that gripped the direction of this month's meeting, Pälysovia-Rønnd will probably not change much after this one.
