Right before the final martian heat ray sank her, the HMS Thunderchild is suddenly transported, along with her crew of 340, to a weird new world, still bearing the damage from the tripods. The First goal of the crew is to find a new place to dock for repairs, as the crew begin attempts to put out the fires on board and repair as much of the damage they can, they begin transmitting a SOS requesting any ships nearby to aid the Thunderchild and escort it to a port.
