Morpeko is not a good pokémon. we can look at pretty much every element that makes it up and see how it i bad. its typing is downright mid, its barely different to incineroar. its stats are absolutley abysmal. genuinely terrible, terrible stats. morpekos ability isn't good either. hunger switch only changes the typing of the move aura wheel between electric and dark each turn. this in itself is a good move, decent damage and raises speed. the problem is that morpeko doesnt hit almost nearly hard enough for it to work. its can also hinder morpeko, as it may need an electric aura wheel but then be stuck in dark type etc. in fact, morp's moveset is excellent, its just that more pokemon, most notably incineroar, gets every move that would make this mon viable. but I'm not here to roast morpeko. I'm here to talk about how it has become a major threat in regulation M-A. Morpeko should not work. I tried it. not good on sun, on rain, on sand, on snow-and the reason for this is bulk. these teams require incineroar over morpeko, as they need more bulk than they need a faster, fatter rat. So, if morpeko is bad, so so bad, and doesn't work on any standard team, then how does it have a place on any team at all? Well, morpeko has one of the single most important jobs on none other than a perish trap team. fake out, parting shot, aura wheel and protect with a focus sash can actually let it spiral into chaos next to a mega gengar. the reason it's better than the more standard incineroar is because of its speed; its guranteed to fake out first, or parting shot first. being able to reposition and provide this support for a team like this actually makes it not only good, but a genuinley terrifying threat on a perish team. morpeko actually saw play on a mega sharpedo team, but that's not the subject today. Because of this as a morpeko tournament result and its viability on perish teams in pokemon champions, i can now happily declare what we all wanted to hear: morpeko is good. thanks for readin! im not going to ask for follows like a tramp. the support is always appreciated and never goes unnoticed. anyway, drink water, give your parents a call and dream big, this project shows how ist always possible. if you enjoyed this project, you may like one where i discuss my first team in pokemon champions that i used in the grand challenge: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1314438162/ or where i discuss the downfall of the best pokemon ever:
