*this takes place after the game* Even though sonic beat eggman his adventure is far from over. He has collected all of the time stones not knowing why they were hidden away. A long time ago the ancient people of little planet sealed away a demon in the time stones and hid them in the special stages. After they died their spirits gaurded the special stages. Sonic with all of the time stones sets the demon free and it uses his body to take over all of little planet, and create his own future.
