hello! i decided to make an akitoya fic because uhh they're my favorite ship from pjsk characters in the cover of the project are kagamine rin and len from the song rettou joutou by giga no characters belong to me. no ai was used in this work. triggers: paranoia (for the sentence below) and trigger warnings for homophobia and abuse. do not run my work through ai or i will find you. akito had noticed that his boyfriend, toya, was acting differently than usual when he saw him at the school gates in the morning. his posture just seemed sad, his eyes were hollow, and he stared at the ground. all day, he knew something was wrong, but never had the chance to talk to him about it. well, until the end of the day. fast forward to the end of the day in akito’s last class of the day, the ominous bell goes off, signaling the end of the school day. at the school gates, he finds toya sitting on the floor, staring at his shoes. “toya. we need to talk." he said. toya nodded solemnly, looked up, and his face looked heartbroken. at the sight of his boyfriend looking gloomy, akito immediately knew something was wrong. akito knows that toya has issues with his dad, and toya is usually down for quite a bit after them, but this is the worst it's ever come to. "hey.." he said softly to toya, nothing like the usual akito everyone sees. "did you fight with your dad again?" "yeah.." toya replied, but his face still didn't look how it usually does after he tells akito that he's had a fight with his dad, once again. "toya, talk to me please." he said worriedly. toya hesitated. "i…" he hesitated. toya doesn't want to make akito stressed or overwhelmed, especially with how much akito always has to put up with his issues. he tried again. "my dad.." he pauses. "my dad found out about us. we can't be together anymore." the world stops for akito. "…what?" "i'm sorry." "toya, you can't just give into him, you can't!" akito shouted tearfully, earning a few looks from students leaving the school. "i know that but—" "please, we have to find a way. i can't lose you. we can do anything, just... just don't leave me please." akito's legs are about to give out, and it feels like the air in his lungs have been knocked out. he can't lose toya, he can't. "akito. i know, and i'm sorry. i tried to talk to him and reason, but he doesn't approve of our relationship, you know how i've defied him many times in the past? well this time he acted horribly. he hit me, akito. he's never done that before, no matter how many times i've defied him. not even as a child, he never hit me." "he hit you?" akito murmurs. "yes, he did. i have bruises from it and everything. akito, i want to stay with you, i really do, my love hasn't changed in any way, but i don't want something worse to happen to me. you understand, right?" akito's eyes are distant. "yeah.. i guess so." he turns away, the first tears falling silently down his cheeks. he loves toya, he really does, and he can't just let him go, but he also doesn't want him to get hurt because of their relationship. "…can i ask something?" "yes... yes you can." "can we still be together in secret? it's alright if you don't want to, but i need to hold you at least in secret… please. i can't lose you. tell your dad something, anything, lie, do whatever you have to do to keep us together." akito begs, his voice cracking hard as he tries not to break into a sob. he feels toya's arms wrap around him and bury his face in his neck. "i know.. i know.. i want to keep us together too, but one way or another he's going to find out, i just know it. you know how this world likes to treat people part of the lgbtq+ community. akito, i've thought this through already, trust me. he said that we can't even talk anymore." toya's voice is cracking now too. akito feels like his world is ending. "alright. i guess..." akito's voice gives out. "i guess i'll never s…talk to you again." toya releases him from the hug, and tears are in toya's own eyes too. "even though we can't be together anymore… i'll still look for you in the halls and at the gate everyday." toya's tears start falling as they walk away from each other for the last time. it starts raining, like the sky knows their pain. it wasn't supposed to rain that day.
