THREE tributes left. All that stood between Ellis, and victory. Not victory; survival. What use was a crown? They didn't want the glory. They wanted home. They wanted Quicksilver. Three tributes, three opponents left to eliminate. Three more deaths weighing on their soul. It was a price worth paying. Anything to get home. And maybe then, Maybe, There was a fragile thread of Hope That they could recover what they had lost. TWO more battles. She knew how this worked. Semifinals, then the big event. Would Ellis even make it to the finals? Quicksilver didn't know. They had made it this far. Much farther than Darksilver. Two more battles. It was dire, it was tense. But it all suddenly seemed, Less Uncertain. Maybe, For the first time, there was Hope. Come home, Ellis, my love. Please come home to me. ONE victor remaining. It was tentative. One in four wasn't great. But the odds were better. They had made it this far, together. Darksilver could pull them through again. It was easy, to be lost in mere rage. It was hard to hope. It was impossible to guarantee survival. But she had never made it this far. She had brought Ellis past where she had left off. Maybe She could bring them all the way. Maybe She could save them. Maybe, Just maybe, Quicksilver wouldn't suffer another loss. One Final Chance.
@banana203 : roleplay @windrider_PI : art, characters, writing “One Day More” from Les Misérables I'm incredibly excited for the Semifinals! I'll save the sentimental talk for later, but I'm very eager to see how this all goes down; and no matter what happens, it will certainly be thrilling! Also, the finalists get to keep their penguin companions from Check 4? Never fear, Ellis's new friend will revive their whimsy.
