so, this is a little something i need to talk about. this isn't going to be too long, but this was something that greatly bothered me and there's a good community out here that i know i can trust. keep in mind, i'm not naming any names, and this isn't to start any beef, but this upset me. a lot. so, i have a group chat with some close friends of mine, on something besides the messages app, and of course the creator established ground rules. no ai pictures, no cussing, etc. as most users on things like scratch and things that aren't instagram or other social media where irl names can be shared, it's pretty common for only usernames or nicknames to be used for safety. as the creator put as a rule, no irl photos to prevent strangers downloading them. what i think is just as important is keeping irl names offline, as most people do here on scratch. just like other people could visit the chat and download photos, if an irl name is mentioned it's basically the same thing. and one of my friends decided to say my irl name twice or more in the chat, and i told them to please not do that, and then they brushed it off saying that it wasn't a big deal and that i was freaking out about it. which isn't okay for me, due to the fact that literally that's what the nicknames are for, or i would just put my regular name. for example, i'm going to use 'inky' as a placeholder for my irl name. they said stuff like "is zinney inky" "inky is that you" "what is zinney thats inky right" and then proceeded to claim the said it once. in a post they even said, as i quote--"cinderblock i said it once. once. sorry bro." (cinderblock is my user on there) not even taking it seriously; when i asked or them to delete the comments i didn't put "bro" or "bruh" because i was expressing my concerns. and no, they did not say it once. they did end up deleting the comments, but made that post saying "sorry bro" like i was overreacting(which i might be doing the slightest bit) and it wasn't important(for me at least). so yeah. sorry you had to read this.
