(warning! mentions of bl00d and de@th, and implications of war! Also k!ssing!) Ziora- The world blurred around her. She pressed a hand to her stomach. It came up a vivid red. Blood roared in her ears. She stumbled, then dropped to her knees. The world spun circles around her, taunting her. A faint voice bellowed. "ZIORA!" The light was fading, fading, fading... it had almost gone when something pulled her up. She focused just enough to see Daren's face. He was holding her, carrying her. "You're going to make it. You will. Everything will be fine." Ziora had just enough energy to mumble, "If I can breathe, I'm fine." Daren let out a dry chuckle. "You won't be able to breath much longer unless we can get you to a doctor." Ziora sighed, then all- the lights- went- dim. And the world faded to blackness. Daren- Ziora. His beloved Ziora. He had seen it. Seen her stumble. Seen her fall. She had been st@bbed. She had stumbled; fallen to her knees. And now he was running; her in his arms; for a doctor. A moment ago she had been muttering retorts, but then he had felt her go limp, only barely breathing now. He had to save her. He had to. What would his life be like without her? His sunshine. His sarcastic sunshine. He used to tell her she was a star that radiated sarcasm. That always made her laugh. And now... she might d!3. And he was determined to get her to a doctor before that happened.
Ziora- She awoke to a mechanical humming, and voices muttering. The world was twisting, flowing like liquid. Everything ran together. In her eyes, the world was a running painting in the void of space. She should know. She'd once brought a wet painting into space, just to see what would happen. Everything had shifted, ignoring physics and gravity. And slowly, her vision cleared, sharpening, slowly. She sat up quickly, head spinning. She was in a white tent. She could see bandages wrapped around her middle, tinged red. Blood. And next to her... "Daren!" She threw her arms around his neck, barely noticing the great jolt of pain coming from her abdomen it caused. He kissed her forehead, like he'd done so many times before. She was blissfully ignorant. The world was nothing except the two of them.
