CEVI-1 (Cetus Virus) is a lab-made pathogen which originated from the Biological Research Institute of Novorossiysk (BRIN). It is unknown how long this pathogen has existed for, but it was first publicly known on November 27th, 2413, after the pathogen escaped through a waterway flowing through BRIN which eventually emptied out into the Black Sea. CEVI-1 became an immediate concern when BRIN made a short announcement to the world about its existence. CEVI-1 is a Lethal Pathogen which affects the Nervous, Respiratory, Reproductive, and Muscular Systems, and is capable of spread through Air, Water, Contact, Rodents, Fish, and Insects. CEVI-1’s most common symptoms are reported as, “Hemorrhaging, Partial Paralysis, Loss of Touch, Muscle Aches, Muscle Spasms, Lung Scratching, Laryngospasm, and Reproductive Problems.” With more severe cases including “Respiratory Failure, Full Paralysis, Reproductive Failure, Muscle Necrosis, and Severe Nerve Damage.” Some theories on why CEVI-1 even exists include theories about possible biological weaponry, a potentially unfrozen pathogen, or a pathogen that mutated heavily. CEVI-1 however has for sure been noted for shuffling its own genetic code frequently.
