*read the ENTIRE thing, or else you have no permission to remix this. note from 3Two8: This project must be remixed more. I have seen lots of bullying in my life, sometimes it happens to me, sometimes I watch it happen to others, and in the past, I used to be the bully. Do not bully, and do not insult other people's projects. Even if they are not very good projects, remember that the entire point of Scratch is to show others what you know, and to learn from each other. If you think someone's project is weird or is so bad that they don't deserve Scratch or anything like that, you're only resetting their progress again and again and again. Don't be a bully, don't say that someone's projects suck, because that will continue the cycle. Break the cycle. Because believe me, I don't know WHAT you're going through, but YOU don't know what THEY'RE going through, either. We think that technology and social media are so cool, but EVERY SINGLE rotten comment you make, THAT'S what's gonna turn Scratch into a h3ll-hole just like the rest of them. Places like T1kT0k and R3dd1t, Scratch will be EXACTLY like them if we don't play nice. There are kids all around the world, and some of them might be forced to do Scratch because of school, they might be new to Scratch, and they'll think that it's a mean place instead of a place where we share knowledge and work together, OR they might be kids like me (@3Two8), who are made fun of for using "little kid" coding, but just want to prove that they can make something that is so cool that maybe, just MAYBE, it'll be good enough. That MAYBE, they'll be known for doing something really cool, and won't be made fun of anymore. And so every time you say "what is this? it's so bad!" or "why did you remix this? you are unoriginal!" you are just adding to their anxiety, and for people like me, whenever something like that happens to me, it makes me think that I have to work SO MUCH HARDER THEN I NEED TO, just so that I can impress that person. Whenever you say something like that, you are taking their goals and plans, and snapping it over your freaking knee. And if this note doesn't change you, that tells me that you are JUST as broken as your victims, because you're not better than them, you're equal. If they are ugly, try looking in a mirror YOURSELF. Oh, that kid's too tall? Well, FEEL FREE to try and shrink yourself down, and see how easy it is. People can't help their addictions, their looks, their hobbies, their capabilities. But they CAN help how nice they are. This project is NOT AT ALL MEANT TO CHANGE YOUR MIND, but maybe it'll help you realize that you're not the only one going through some stuff. Don't continue the cycle of pain and anxiety, BREAK IT. Note from KOTLCKeephie; All you bullies out there? Well just think, if you were the one being bullied, would you want to go somewhere like Scratch, a safe place for all to code, and be bullied? As a past and present victim of bullying, I would know how bad it feels to come to school and straight away get teased for being uncool, when wearing the school uniform, and the bully is wearing the same thing. They would yell and scream and then wonder why I was blocking my ears like a wimp. (IT’S CALLED TRYING TO PRESERVE MY EARDRUMS YOU !D!OT$). Anyway, I know how terrible it feels, and I wouldn’t even wish it on my bullies. (Even though they did it to me). It is a horrible thing to endure. It was so hard that when I got to high school and people were STILL bullying me, people noticed that I had no reaction. They asked me why and I said, “I’ve been bullied since 3 grade, I’ve built a thick skin.” But when I got home, I would cry myself to sleep each night, wake up with red eyes, and go to school like nothing happened. So if you are the bully who caused anyone else to go through this, stop. Just freaking stop. Thanks to all who are not bullies! <3
DON’T BE A BULLY! IF YOU ARE, STOP. IF YOU ARE AND YOU DO NOT STOP GO CRY IN A HOLE.
