Update 42 - Poles with Bree ————————————————————————— Bree is a wonderful mare with fluid gaits and a great personality, but she tends to hesitate and seek assurance before moving forward and that results in some miscommunication. Today I brought out some poles to help stimulate her brain and help engage her and I think it was really successful! I warmed her up and then tried introducing her to the activity for today. At first, she was a bit confused at the task at hand but quickly got the hang of it and did the task effortlessly. I could tell she was enjoying the work and the amount of times able hesitated was not near as much as before. At the end of the session, I cooled her down and then untacked and rubbed her down, because today’s work did make her sweat and she is also still shedding her winter coat.
