Anyways here’s also a massive lore drop for him: His family was very poor, but just managing to get by. When Darvo was 19, on mother’s day, he stole a chain that his mom really wanted. It was only $40 CAD at most, and Darvo planned to pay it back eventually, however the store owner didn’t take it so lightly. He accused Darvo of a horrible crime, putting him into some very hot water with the rest of the town. What didn’t help is that where he lived, desserts like himself and his family didn’t, meaning it was the word of a poor already outcasted person against a highly trusted store owner. He eventually found himself with a group of outlaws who experienced similar things, minor offences that should have only been a fine to pay blown way out of proportion. So now he is forced to hide, and he did with his parents because they know he would never do what he was accused of. When they died because they were getting old, Darvo inherited the little storm shelter they lived in. Years go by, yadayada, mostly uneventful until two little travels come by. They weren’t quite objects, they resembled an object folk’s shadow, but that’s about it. They had pitch black fur, and only white lines helped differentiate between their arms and their body. The main difference between the two was one wore only a trench coat and heart necklace, alongside having a moth like tail and heart pupils. The other wore a cowboy hat with a jacket, and had poofy hair on their chest and head, as well as having scope pupils and a gun. One was friendly, and quite curious about everything and everyone, and the other was a lot more dangerous. They were a bounty hunter, a fast and persistent one too. So, of course upon seeing Darvo’s bounty, they went after him. Luckily Darvo was wanted alive, not dead, so he wouldn’t get killed, but oh boy did he have to run. Darvo didn’t really see them as a threat, and just thought it as playful banter, especially because one day he got chased up the water tower, fell, nearly died because of the height, and the little chaser felt really bad. A week after their first encounter, this game of cat and mouse still continued, until Darvo noticed something. The little cowboy seemed very protective of the other one, and so, to tease the first, he asked for permission from the second, and booked it with them in his arms. Of course, the cowboy was not at all happy with this, and chased him down. Darvo was very slick though, managing to lose them along the way back to his place, where he let the little one just do whatever they wanted. They bonded because the little one just looked so much like a child, and knowing his town, Darvo knew they would probably be hated, so he was becoming more and more protective of the little one. His name was Lover, and he said the other was Vigilante, or just Vi for short. Now the chasing is very playful, and it’s more game than actually trying to catch the other. As Lover stayed with Darvo more and more, Darvo realized how he kind of viewed Lover like his kid, so he started to take care of him like he was his kid when he would visit. Darvo would die to keep Lover safe. He really would
