A Tempest which was scouting hears the commotion and approaches Corlandia to investigate what the hell was going on without realizing that this is probably going to be its last mission. Martian command tells it that this is stupid. Its computers blare as it approaches the origin of the noise, but it continues. Tanks from various governments shoot at it, thinking that this is a Martian offensive, but the Tempest fires back and continues on its journey.
