1: Disability/disorder/research things okay so uh I've been seeing a LOT of people making characters with a disability/disorder, or something that would require research, which is cool!! Except that they provide no research. Now, I don't want to discourage people from making characters with something that needs research, but! Please!! I am begging.. Some things that aren't a disability/disorder need research as well! It's always good to fully understand things if it's not a common thing to experience, ie. maladaptive daydreaming, limping, etc. Injuries ALSO need research if they affect something serious! If your character goes half-blind, I do need research! There are also MANY ways something can show itself, okay? I know that some are more well-known than others, but please look into variants! One example would be system origins. There's traumagenic systems, yes, but also a whole world of endogenic types! [we are pro-endo here ok? I won't tolerate any anti-endo speech, take that somewhere else] It's worth looking into variants when researching. Also, you do not need to add their disability/disorder/other in their starter! Or mention it all the time in their roleplay! That's like if I went up to introduce myself, and I went 'Hi I'm Null and I have anxiety, depression, etc. etc.'. It's incredibly unnecessary, and is implying that they aren't more than that. Your character's personality, appearance, etc. should be much, much, much more important!! You can, however, add a link to a project/forum/comment that says all about them! It can have their appearance, personality, disorder, etc. in it! That's perfectly okay! If you don't want to take the time to do all the needed research, don't give your character something that needs it! You can have a melancholic character without them being depressed! If someone's saying it in their starter, you can politely tell them to not do that. For everything else, please report it to me - 2: Inactivity We have inactivity staff now! Say hello to @crazydogninja / @-XaneStorage- , our new inactivity manager. We do need people to count inactivity for each studio! Now, how this works is if you were inactive for two weeks, your character will be removed. However, if you simply do a SRP or start / claim an ORP at LEAST once every other week, you're fine! I don't want this to turn into a bunch of just. starting/claiming one ORP then never responding, though! If you're inactive for a bit, go ahead and tell the inactivity manager, and you will be excused. If you just don't want to roleplay/just want a character/just want to watch, don't make a character. It's perfectly fine to stalk this roleplay for the story without a character, yet I do encourage you to join / be a part of the community. ( Hi guys, this is your inactivity manager speaking! I'll be getting the project for inactivity related stuff up soon, but for now, if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me over here: ) - 3: Family If you want your character to have genetic family, you are 10000% allowed to create designs / characters for people without a character/with a second character slot to take! That's completely allowed! Also, as for romance, there is no romance between family members, biological or adopted, allowed. Please keep track of your character's family tree!! - That should be all ok I can clarify things if needed also none of this is targeted at anyone, it's just what's been on my mind
